Pastoral Care Worker

Miss April Coogan

Miss April Coogan is our School Chaplain/Student Pastoral Care Worker appointed through the State Government School Chaplaincy and Student Welfare Program Guidelines. Miss Coogan works at our school on two days of the week. Her role strongly supports that of our Student Support team in planning for and delivering services which promote student resilience and wellbeing. Miss Coogan works alongside the teaching staff to provide pastoral support for our students and to help with lunchtime activities. She looks after children with different cultural backgrounds and ensures that families of children with very severe illnesses are provided with care and compassion. April also provides the friendly “face of hospitality” in our school community.
